Exam Success Strategies

Two of the most common reasons students don't achieve the test/exam results they are capable of are:

  1. Lack of Focus and Being Distracted by social media, Netflix, Youtube and well, basically anything and everything.  Meaning you either don't study as much as you should, or you don't study as efficiently and effectively as you could.

  2. Too Nervous and Not Performing Well in the Exam Itself.  Forgetting things in the exam that you knew just minutes before.  Not being able to think straight - maybe even blanking out for a moment.  There is nothing more frustrating than knowing you know the answers but you can't remember them or explain them clearly in an exam.  ​

If this is your exam experience, you need to know that exams are a skill.  There are strategies that can help you - and they are all things you can learn to change quickly and easily in 1-2 sessions.  So you begin to get the results you know you are capable of.

I meet a lot of people who push themselves hard because they want to achieve and do their best in work, home, sport, school - life.  They come to me because they are struggling to sustain their efforts.  

This is because they have pushed themselves to the point where they struggle to relax and enjoy life - often feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed or burnt out.  People who push themselves in this way often have an inner voice that has become their harshest critic - nothing is good enough anymore.

Life doesn't need to be this way.  There are ways to achieve and be your best without stressing yourself out. 

Pushing hard may work in the short term, but you need strategies and a focus that is not just sustainable this week, this month, or even this year, but sustainable throughout your life.
